Eco Friendly and Biodegradable Cold Drink Cups

by Missy on Tuesday, August 21st, 2007

Having an end-of-the-summer barbeque or picnic? Then these compostable and biodegradable cold drink cups will come in especially handy. Made from a plastic that is based from corn, these cups are meant to biodegrade within 180 days.

Eco-Plastic Cups are formed from NatureWorks polylactic acid (PLA) which comes from U.S.A. grown corn. However, as the retailer EcoWise notates in the item description, these plastic corn cups require composting for biodegradation to occur and in a commercial compost facility they will decompost within 180 days.

Throw that last summer family food fling in eco-friendly style.
