There are many ways for us to save our environment, all it takes is careful observation and abit of creativity when looking for solutions in our daily lives. Below i showcase 3 simple everyday ideas to go green at home.
1. Unsubscribe from needless catalogs and newspapers
Most newspapers are used for government propaganda anyway (huh?), so why bother paying for it when you can have better information from the interwebs? Also be sure to unsubscribe from unwanted catalogs because there’s no point in keeping them, if you are bombarded with too many. Call the 800# located on the back of the catalog and unsubscribe.
2. Pay Bills Online
Why waste gas and spew CO2 in the air by going to the post office, if you can make your bill payments online? Most if not all are set up for this. By paying your bills online you help to reduce paper usage, plus save fuel, time and money. This one is a no brainer.
3. Use Recycled Paper Towels
By replacing regular paper towels in your home with recycled paper towels, you can help to avoid 3.4 million cubic feet of landfill space being used. Now there is a stat for you.
Simple fact is that paper comes from trees and saving paper can prevent other trees from being cut. It’s all about conservation and reusing what already exists.
