Larry Page Builds Eco Friendly House

by David Allen on Monday, March 23rd, 2009

Naturally you would expect someone like the co-founder of Google, Larry Page,  to be able to get out there and build a great eco friendly house pretty easily. Contrarily,  his new six-thousand square-feet, four bedroom home will built right next door to his $7 million house in Palo Alto, California. The reason why:  he is building another house because planning regulations prohibit his current house from being added to.

The new house will be a green rated build that will use recycled materials, have solar panels, pervious pavement, zinc cladding and the essential roof top garden. The building of large houses is a controversial issue, but this practice will never stop and so long as they are building these huge mansions they might as well be green.
