Natalie Portman will judge on green Project Catwalk

by David Allen on Wednesday, July 23rd, 2008

There is no doubt that Project Catwalk is a brilliant success on both sides of the Atlantic, but on some occasions there is not much eco friendly designing going on there, which is shame as this would make for a better show.

Thankfully, the producers have thought about this and an Eco Friendly Edition of Project Catwalk is in the making for Bravo. To make it even more interesting that famous eco fashion icon Natalie Portman will be one of the guest judges, let us hope that they use some of her eco shoes from the Te Casan label.

  • I saw Natalie Portman in project runway and she would look beautiful in the winning design by Suede!!!! Now in terms of her vagan shoe line, I think she is just doing it for the profit and thing else!
  • Mi, Miguel:
Natalie is not hurting for money, i'm sure her Star Wars paychecks are coming along nicely.

With her deep pockets, Portman can easily create just about any shoe line possible. But she is a vegan, and as such she chose to (fund and promote) a business venture, where her personal beliefs and values are part of the equation.

She is supplying high end shoes, aimed at and for vegans. And those who are vegan-friendly.

She doesn't need the money, so it is clear to me, (Te Casan) is about something more than just cold profit.

I missed the Project Runway episode, but will try and catch it on a re-run.

I do appreciate your visit and comment. Do come again.
