Wal-Mart Reveals Worldwide Earth Month

We all know that Earth Day will be around next week and apparently, Wal-Mart is doing its part as far as celebrating Earth month and it can be seen from their stores worldwide.

As far as Wal-Mart India is concerned flip flops made of 100 per cent recyclable materials are available at all Easy Day stores in India . In China, the company is offering a mainstays compressed pillow resulting in savings in transportation costs and shelf space, Wal-Mart Puerto Rico launched fashionable and reusable shopping bags with artwork from the Ponce Art Museum and is donating proceeds from the sales of the bag to the museum.

In partnership with Unilever, Wal-Mart Argentina also launched a special Earth Month edition reusable shopping bag and Wal-Mart Canada announced its move to compaction in powdered laundry detergent. Besides, the company has partnered with local governments and NGOs and will engage its 2.2 million associates worldwide in promoting a cleaner, safer and healthier environment.

At least they are using their influence for good? Now let's talk about actually investigating where the products they offer come from and how they are made.... and switching over EVERYTHING they have to be more eco-friendly. This is only a band-aid. Good effort, but a band aid.

wal mart is a communist shop. they bullied American companies to go out of business and monopolize areas of business such as tupperware. every time you buy something green to make yourself feel better i want you to think of the individuals that were paid almost nothing to make it. if wal mart really cared about Earth Day and the enviornment and the betterment of people, how about providing some clean drinking water for those working women in India? or issueing clean up crews to pick up their shopping bags that lazy American slobs leave in the parking lots and sides of free ways. "oh, look at us! we participating for a month! but we don't do a thing to help those other 11 months out of the year." whatever.
