5 Not-So-Green Cities

by erin on Saturday, May 19th, 2007

To finish off his great multi-part article, Jacob Gordon decided to leave us on a less positive note. It just goes to show, that as great as things are going, there is always more to be done! So, if you live in one of these cities — or even if you don’t — hat are you waiting for? There’s an environment out there to save!

Cities That Need Saving

#5: Columbus
Poor air and water quality, along with a prominent fast-food industry can’t help this city.

#4: Dallas
Lack of public transit users and saturated highways leave Dallas’ air smoggy and unwlecoming.

#3: Detroit
Anyone really surprised about this? Being the capital of auto-makers make this city more gray than green.

#2: Houston
Houston is another city that falls victim to congested highways and no one on the subway.

#1: Indianapolis
There doesn’t seem to be an active green movement here. If no one wants change, how can it happen?
