Bamboo-made stuff have been coming out and this includes the likes of furniture and laptops. Now a car which makes use of bamboo has been sent out in the open with the Meguru Electric Car. This EV looks like a traditional Japanese rickshaw where the main body is iron coated with urushi (lacquer), while the flooring is made from real bamboo followed by an opening that comes in the form of a fan-shaped washi (Japanese paper).
The Meuguru Electric car will retail for $10,000 and needs only 2 hours to be charged. It can go a maximum of 40 kilometers on a full charge and can be used in public roads.
