At least for Europe, McDonalds is offering a healthy item to their menu with these Filet-O-Fish burgers, new sandwiches that are reportedly made only from sustainable fish. The sustainable portion will be made sure by the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) where 0.5% will be contributed to them and jack up McDonald’s initiative of leaning more on sustainable food sources.
There is no word on whether McDonalds would be applying the same worldwide but who knows? McDonalds has been getting a lot of attention for their eco-friendly initiative as of late although they started to do so as early as 2003.
Not only does the company persistently attract consumers with flashy advertisements and low-priced and convenient meals, it has also built its name so that it is recognized for being socially responsible.
