A medium-scale version of Ecowave Power’s Wind Clapper and Power Wing Wave energy generation system has reportedly been released through a video, something that is currently undergoing testing and evaluation before the actual construction gets underway.
The large-medium system was constructed in the Black Sea last April where has already undergone stress tests during a storm which saw waves rise to as high as five meters. And with the positive results that saw floaters surviving without any significant damage, Eco Wave Power was able to take note of the occurrence.
They studied the effects of positioning floaters in close proximity to one another, and connected electrical devices to the system to demonstrate the generation of electricity.
The next phase of the current operation involves moving the setup to different coastal location to demonstrate that the EWP system can be connected to a variety of structures. Once testing and evaluation is complete, EWP will begin construction of its first commercial-scale Sea Wave Power Plant and will then gradually reveal the system construction together with the production costs for potential clients.
