Scotland Could Get Tidal Power
If Scottish Power Renewables gets the planning permission that they have applied for, then the Scotland could get up to twenty underwater turbines, which could be producing enough power for forty thousand homes by the 2012.
This Norwegian system has been tested already, therefore it is a matter of getting the planning permission and constructing the twenty turbines, by doing this it would enable Scotland to cut its carbon emissions by around eighty per cent. The question is who is going to foot the bill for this project?
