There is something about WiFi that we may overlooking and perhaps this new breakthrough is one of them. And it took some more researcher to figure out that WiFi does offer something different – electricity.
Thanks to Duke Univeristy’s Pratt School of Engineering, the group came up with a remarkable device that can reportedly turn microwave signals into usable electricity. So now, aside from being able to suffer using WiFi technology, perhaps this discovery can add some energy-aid as well.
Of course the specifics behind it are bit advanced and technical to explain. But if you are that curious, you can check it out here.
On the other end, the new discovery opens a whole new road of possibilities, including that of a mobile device potentially functioning and recharging itself as long as WiFi signals are present.
