In a new kind of twist, don’t be surprised if you happen to find yourself in Norway and see people headed to their hotel on dog sleds rather than the usual gas-powered taxis.
The Kirkenes Snowhotel has apparently put the thought of pollution into consideration, turning to those dog-powered sleds to get tourists from the one destination to their hotel, including the airport.
Guests will be provided with thermal suits and given ample time to know the dogs in tow before they get it on with the 45-minute ride through a snow-filled scenery.
Eight Alaskan Huskies will comprised the dog sled taxi service, the ride which will cost $372. The hotel has about 200 dogs housed so don’t worry about queues in case you are one of the many folks who would want to avail of this unique kind of service.
