President Elect Obama To Adopt Shelter Puppy
As you’ve probably heard by now, President Elect Obama has decided to adopt a shelter puppy for his daugthers.
The reason this is news is because in the past no President has ever elected to adopt an animal from a shelter, usually it has been a purebred AKC dog. Essentially when you adopt a pet from a shelter you are saving that pets life. You are giving it a much needed (and deserved) second chance.
Obama has said he plans on being mindful of animal cruelty and will do whatever he can to support animal welfare programs and initiatives. We say, awesomesauce!
The puppy that Obama decides to adopt will be BIG NEWS all over the world, and as soon we find out more information on name, shelter, etc. We shall let you know.
It might be PAWS CHICAGO, a no kill animal shelter in Chicago. Not sure, but rumors are circulating.
