We have yet another bike for you today, another one magnificently carved using recycled wood. The bike was handcrafted by Yojiro Oshima, a design student at the Craft&Industrial Department over at Musashino Art University in Tokyo.
With bikes seen as perhaps the most sensible alternative to the fuel-powered vehicles we have today, this is one alluring bike that should gain attention as well.
The wooden bike features a sculptural wooden frame which reportedly softens the ride while retaining its optimal level of stiffness when used.
The cycle is made from hollowed-out 6-12 mm sections bonded together to create a flowing network of rims and spokes. The curve at the top of the spokes absorbs impacts, and the beam-style seat tube improves overall comfort.
