Bikes have their limitations, especially when you think about how fast they can go which largely depend on how fast and long your can perform the needed pedal-powered effort on the rider’s end. But as far as this bike design from Donhou, the maximum that it has reached has so far been 60mph.
Called the Good to a Hundred Bike, this bike can theoretically achieve the 100 mph speed barrier despite some issues concerning the material used in creating it. The bike is handmade using common materials and features a 104-tooth chainring that has a diameter of about 17 inches compared to road bikes which have about 50 teeth in their largest ring.
Handlebars have been lowered to position riders and from the look of it, the possibility of the “Good to a Hundred Bike” achieving 100mph or better may yet come but not for now.
