Lantern that is wound up

by David Allen on Friday, May 9th, 2008

With so many solar powered lamps on the market, which give off a basic low level light its great to see a new product on the market that promises to provide some decent light but without any solar power at all.

Lantern that is wound up

This lamp has been designed by that great engineer and inventor Trevor Baylis who invented the emergency wind up radio and torch, so naturally this lamp is also powered by hand. One minute of winding will give the user thirty minutes of light.

Features:

Lantern comprises of 5 x 5mm LEDs and includes a 12v car adaptor.

4 hours of constant light when on full charge, 3 days of standby time on full charge. 1 minute winding gives 30 minutes of light.

Weatherproof so is ideal for outdoors – great for camping trips.

Hanging handle is attached at the base.

Priced at $50
