DIY Hose Reel
I was thinking earlier of an easy way to reel up my water garden hose, as I had pulled it out this weekend to wash my truck. I Googled “DIY hose reel” to see what easy and low cost ideas were out there.
I found this, “How To Wrap A Really Long Garden Hose, Without A Hose Reel”.
It’s quite simple an idea really. Mr Handyman says to grab a ladder and essentially wrap the hose around it, starting from the top of the ladder. Work your way around it and be sure to fasten it first to the ladder, so it doesn’t cut loose as you’re flipping it around.
This idea didn’t really fit my need, as I have a regular 50 ft hose and not the 100 foot hose this DIY project was aimed at. But still I thought I would share it with you, as it deemed worthy of a mention for the DIY home warrior.
