Consider A Rescue Gift This Season?

by Missy Diaz on Wednesday, December 7th, 2011

Do you know what “rescue gifts” are? They are gifts that last much longer than any gadget or electronic ever could.

Essentially rescue gifts are what the IRC (International Rescue Committee) call gifts that involve a kinder gentler idea. Some of these include the gift of clean water, a flock of chickens for a needy family, a community garden, a bed net to help fight malaria, a pair of glasses and so much more.

Some of these rescue gifts from the IRC only cost as low as $25.

To see what you might be able to gift this year that will last a lifetime, visit the IRC website. One thing that I like about the rescue gift portal at IRC is the ease with which they make it to send your gift. You can choose by price, by type and it’s quite easy to set up.
