We all know the pains that transportation carry and while many are focused on the electric-powered binge, there is a small city over in the UK which may yet open up new ideas. This is after reports revealed that Milton Keynes is planning to address transport issues with the installation of 100 self-driving pods which will connect its downtown area to its central train station.
The vehicles are called the ULTra Personal Electric Transportation pods, each of which can travel at a max speed of 12MPH.
The said project is expected to be finished by 2017 and ran for roughly $104 million. The pods seem to be a nifty alternative to taxi cabs where each ride will cost about $3.19.
The Pods are nothing new though since the Heathrow Airport in London has been using the same tech since 2011.
