Donate Your Used Car for A Sick Kid
Everyone is so tied up with the Cash for Clunkers deal that they don’t even realize other ways to get some relief for their financial needs. Apparently here is one, a charitable act that can help you out in tax deductions. That and of course you are helping a sick child with the old car you always wanted to dispose.
The foundation is called the Songs of Love Foundation with their CARS (Children Are Receiving Songs) program. Dedicating the cause to help sick children, the foundation accepts donated cars, trucks, recreational vehicles and boats, which are then sold to generate proceeds for its mission of music.
There is no need for the donor to take the car anywhere as the foundation comes and picks up the vehicle at the donor’s location, free of charge. A receipt is given for tax deduction purposes which should be a consolation if you talk about getting something out of it.
