The thing about solar powered cars is that you get to see what they are capable of, something that may only be seen during solar races or challenges. And the Nuon Solar Powered car did just that over at the World Solar Challege.
The solar powered vehicle conquered the event, a 3,000 KM race across Australia to Adelaide where it finished the race in just 33 hours.
The Dutch Nuon is a single-seater and solar powered car that took winning honors using an average speed of 90.71 km/h.
This year’s race also added another measure, the “cruiser class,” which emphasizes practical vehicle designs.
