It looks like while many have tried to drastically address the common problem of providing reliable charging stations for the electric vehicles out in the market, Google has once again taken the lead. By partnering with Coulomb Technologies, Google is reportedly bent to have 5% of its parking spaces equipped with electric-vehicle chargers in the future.
To date, they have already installed close to 200 chargers with an additional 250 more on its way. With the aid of Google Maps too, people can easily find a free charge spot or make a reservation thanks to the network partnership between the two.
The question now is who would follow Google’s footsteps in addressing the electricity needs of EVs. Until that time comes, Google certainly holds the lead as far as addressing the eco-friendly intent to serve electric vehicles is concerned.
