We have seen various ways to curb down on electricity use but this latest one seems to be interesting. Ideally we would be hearing about electric cars needing to plug into wall sockets or charging stations but what if all that were reversed?
Well it seems that for this Japanese-based company, turning to six electric cars for juice during peak hours has become reliable and economical. The alternative has reduced their power consumption by about $5,000 annually.
The setup is similar to the charging station setup only that it the process is reversed in such a way where the cars (six Leaf electric cars), power up the said building.
The system is being tested at Nissan’s Nissan Advanced Technology Center in Atsugi City.
