Smart has been busy in the electric vehicle arena for the past years as we can see from the Smart fortwo electric drive and the smart ebike. And with those two vehicles practically settled and ready for launch, a third one in the Smart eBike is now being worked on and is being planned for launch by 2014.
Initially, the eScooter showed off initial features that included travelling at top speeds of 45 KMH and a range of 100KM. But according to smart, there would be enhancements made by the time they do come out in 2014.
Other features of the eScooter include an integrated airbag, ABS brakes, and a blind-spot monitoring system. The eScooter does not require the ones using it to have a license, similar to that eBike.
Whatever the case may be, the new electric-powered vehicles are in all a welcome addition to the commuting world. As oil continues to become scarce an unreasonably priced, one of the best solutions for now is to have these alternative powered ones.
