Electric cars are normally hit when it comes to the charge and charging time it takes for their batteries. However, a new battery over in Korea may somehow change all that – reportedly something which can charge in minutes.
And if you think that is great, reports also say that the said batteries will be cheaper, twice as low compared to the usual lithium-ion batteries. Apparently there was a tweak in the chemical process when recharging the batteries. In traditional batteries, only a fraction of the energy storage can be replenished at once, which is why charging time grows linearly with capacity.
Kudos to the EV sector but you have to wonder if such a technology could eventually creep its way into other electronic devices and gadgets. Give it time and who knows, you may suddenly have the same development up and about soon before you even know it.
