Higher Taxes for Diesel Cars Pushed

If you cannot really entice car owners to shy away from the usual diesel-guzzling cars, you may as well implement higher taxes to discourage consumers from getting them. It is a known fact that diesel is cheaper as far as fuel is concerned but the aftermath is really more on the health constraints to which fumes can be hazardous for people to breath in.
While most of the world hate tax hikes, this is an area that is certainly for a good cause. We are free to buy vehicles but the matter of selecting the proper one despite hard times has to be stomped down. So if they should become heftier, would it affect the demand for diesel-powered vehicles? For sure there will be a significant bearing in all of this as local governments really have to put a lid on the diesel issue.
The price of diesel vehicles is to become more expensive next year following revelations that the government has opted to push up the car tax on these cars by up to 26 percent, while unleaded cars will experience increases of no higher than ten percent.
