ELF Pedal and Solar Powered Vehicle

Here is another potential transport solution for you, something which makes of alternative ways to get you places. This time around spotted over at the CEBIT 2013 was the ELF, a pedal-powered and solar powered tricycle which should broaden the available alternative modes of transport we have today.

The ELF runs on an electric engine and can also be used through pedal-power. The electric engine can be recharged through the solar panels which are located at the rooftop of the shell-protected bicycle or by plugging it in any standard wall outlet when available.

The ELF comes fully equipped with lights, signals and mirrors while the cargo compartment at the rear should provide ample space for your stuff such as bags or groceries. The ELF is compact and can go 1,800 miles on energy which is equivalent to about a gallon of gas.
