Kumho Launches Eco-Up Program

In the midst of the economic crisis, Kumho Tires is reportedly following a different route. Aside from focusing on the middle trucks niche, it has launched its new “Eco-Up” program which will see most of its consumer tire products changed over to eco-friendly versions.
The tires will carry the same names and tread patterns, but will feature more fuel-efficient tread compounds. The addition of the Road Venture SAT – a 640 AA UTQG radial with 25 P- and LT-metric sizes covering 15- to 17-inch wheels and carrying a 60,000-mile warranty – and the Eco Solus KL21 – coming in the third quarter – round out the company’s 2009 consumer tire plans.
