Honda has started the next generation solar hydrogen station prototype in Los Angeles intended for private home use for fuel cell vehicle owners. This refueling appliance will be capable of overnight refills for fuel cell electric vehicles. It produces enough hydrogen in an 8 hour overnight fill for daily commuting for fuel cell vehicles and was designed as a single unit to fit in a user’s garage.

The new Solar Hydrogen Station will employ the same 48-panel, 6.0kW solar array that powered the previous system.
