Here is another potential aid as far as the charging stations required for electric vehicles are concerned. This time the idea comes from Plug + Play by HMMY. The new concept is an urban EV charging station that is covered with photovoltaic film.
The station generates energy and stores the collected juices onto a battery that will in turn pass the power on to vehicles once they come in for recharging. The plan is to place these charging stations near popular places like shopping centers, restaurants and other high traffic places to allow customers use their time well while their EVs are parked and charging up for the next trip.
Shaped like a power plant cooling tower, Plug + Play seeks to change the negative image of energy generation into a positive and sustainable one.
