We are big supporters of the current trend of electric vehicles, as they are so much more environmental friendly than the traditional fuel powered vehicles. Unfortunately, it is at times quite cumbersome to charge one vehicle , as not all parking lots have sockets.
Evatran Inc, which is a Virginia based technology company tackles this problem with their Plugless Power device. As the name suggest, the device charges a vehicle wirelessly by using the principal of electromagnetic induction. Currently it supports the Chevrolet Volt and the Nissan Leaf models and the estimated cost is around $3000. A pre-launch unit was also installed in Google headquarters and for more information head over here.
