Normally when there is a good cause, people do things that are above and beyond the call of duty, these people are called heroes and it is people like who inspire others to go out and do good things.
This is no different to the 600 heroes who stripped naked and posed for the installation artist Spencer Tunick on the Aletsch Glacier in Switzerland. Being naked it is supposed to demonstrate the weakness of the human race, similar to how the planet

Female celebrities like Natalie Portman, Chloe Sevigny, and Kyra Sedgwick appear in this minutes long video tooting the benefits of switching from conventional bulbs to the greenhouse gas saving CFL, compact florescent bulbs.
The video also has a few non celebrity faces holding a CFL all around the U.S. The video is pretty light, almost senseless, not much substance goes on in it. While i don’t disagree with the overall message, the video

Great article from No Impact Man on his super duper ultra cool re-usable cup. As you can see from the pic, it is a mason jar.
Colin a/k/a No Impact Man, brings about an interesting viewpoint that some have about reusable cups. Some say that with the cost of manufacturing and the energy used to wash a reusable cup, why even bother with one?
Well it is not the same it is (apples vs. oranges) a reusable cup is just that re-usable, meant to be reuse

Howard Lyman is known for several things, one is his Mad Cowboy book in which he speaks of his days as a cattle rancher who had his own feedlot and factory farm and his personal account of feeding chemicals, pesticides, and even feeding other chemically-laced cows to cows.
Howard is also known for his highly publicized trial that included Oprah Winfrey against Texas cattle farmers. He is perhaps best known as the “the cowboy that won̵

Biofuels have been pretty much praised for their advent since it has provided people to drive their cars using plants and other natural resources to produce them in lieu of oil and standard gasoline. While this phenomenon has indeed addressed the fuel efficiency and greenhouse gas issue, look a little bit further.
Food and crops are still essential towards providing the basic necessities as illustrated by Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. Thus, wh

An Alderman in Chicago wants to propose a city tax on bottled water, 5 cents on a pint bottle and 20 cents on the gallon jugs. Recent studies show that “most bottled water originates at public water supplies” and Alderman George Cardenas from Chicago’s 12th ward, states that “big corporations are using this commodity, this precious resource, bottling it and selling it back to us, perhaps at 50 percent profit.”

Going green starts at home and the benefits from participating and turning to green technology and practices will surely benefit any home today. Just think of it. A lot of the green issues come from wasted energy that powers most residential homes today. There are some times when paper or papers need to fixed together like in reports or other files, but the normal way it to use glue, paper clips or staples, however these items may only be small but they are one use items which are wasted.

It is believed that if data centers are left to grow at the rate that they are, the energy used could double over the next five years or so. This would cost billions of dollars every year, in fact it is estimated that if the consumption of power if left to grow as it is, then around ten new power plants would be needed.
The only way around this is for data centers to become greener, which is why there is an organization called Green Grid which i

Water is a natural resource that have slowly been a scarce need thanks to various means such as waste and pollution. A lot of the water reservoirs are at critical levels due to the impending climate changes and while there are some which are still available, chances are they is contaminated due to dumping of toxic waste.
It would be best to use water wisely. Leaving faucets open and forgetting to close them is not an excuse. We can live with it
