We all love to see living animals around, especially the rare ones like giraffes and bears. However we forget that most of the furnishings and clothings we have come from them. Ever wonder why the price is pegged high? Because they are rare to find these days and hard to hunt. The have become rare in the sense that their breeds are slowly decreasing in numbers. All thanks to our bratty needs and wants.

We also disregard the polluted waters which have been plaguing our seas today. Dumping waste and garbage is not helping. We can see that when we seek the resources that we need such as food. We are the victims of our own negligence.

There are a lot of vessels that find themselves in unlikely places and finding themselves in the Antarctic regions is something that will surely be something that any boat would not want to be, even if it is a whaling ship that bullies the natural water creatures.

Add bad luck to the equation, having a fire in the ship and losing most of its power to travel back to its point of origin makes it all the more harder. The said fire does not only threaten the ship as a whole, but the Antarctic region as well hence the need for assistance to pull them through. That is if they want the help being extended.

People need to satisfy themselves through using the various resources around us. While this practice has evidently be normal for all people living in the world, the matter of knowing how to replace them by re-harvesting or breeding the used up resources and animals has been overlooked. The result is the diminishing resources.

Also, another aspect is that of the negligence in pollution and waste that is produced in processing these demands. Improper disposal has lead to a world being threatened of losing its beauty and ultimately crumbling due to lack of attention towards its continued diminishing resources.

Now this video is something that not any person will want to see. We already despise the killers from reading or hearing about them but seeing the actual animals as elephants being killed one by one for their ivory tusks is something that is truly unforgiving.

We all long for ivory, but the creatures that suffer on their behalf needs to be considered. Elephants are being killed for our sake and trade purposes. Can we accept this fact and go on with our selfish desires?

Whales may be large animals that some people rarely get to see outside the movies. But in reality, the people who see them do not even care about their existence. In fact, people just hunt them down and kill them one by one. A leading nation known for killing whales is Japan. There are various campaigns being put up to stop this practice and even if whales are already having problems dealing with global warming, being hunted and killed by humans alone may lead to their nearing extinction.

The Bald Eagle is no longer on the U.S. Threatened and Endangered List. After some 40 years of being on the list, conservation efforts have led to the increased numbers in population.

Several measures have aided in the effort to bring the Bald Eagle back, including the banning of an environmentally unsound insecticide called DDT in 1972, the passing of a Congress law in 1940 making it illegal to kill Bald Eagles, and being placed in the Endangered Species Act in 1995.

Now there are more than 10,000 pairs breeding nationwide, Bald Eagles are located plentifully enough, in Alaska and in the lower 48 states.

The movie will be called “Artic Tale” and Starbucks involvement will include in store signs and displays, plus a special National Day of Discussion, which will see experts on the environment speaking in a least ten major cities.

Starting on the 12th July 2007 animal rights organization PETA and Stella McCartney are holding a virtual anti fur protest on Second Life.

On a dedicated island there will be goodie bags for visitors to spread the word amongst the other seven million inhabitants of Second Life, there will also be a picnic where there will be Linda McCartney mini veggie burger stalls, live DJ’s, plus information tree house run by Stella McCartney and PETA. The island has been designed to resemble the English countryside, with stables, horse jumps, lakes and picnics tables.

There is also a contest to find the best Anti Fur Slogan, these will appear all over the island and the winning slogan will be pick by Stella McCartney and the top three will win:

First prize: two tickets to the Spring-Summer 2008 fashion show in Paris in October. Second prize: a Fall-Winter Appaloosa bag. Third prize: a full set of CARE by Stella McCartney, the first luxury organic skincare line, containing 100 per cent organic active ingredients.
