This is the second version of the craft that made twenty one flights and spent a hundred and twenty one hours in the air during 1990.

 

 

The Sunseeker II is designed by Eric Raymond; it uses battery power to get into the air, while solar power takes over during the flight for the controls and other operations. The plane will be flying over the following countries: Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Hungary and Slovenia.

Their every move is scrutinized with a fine GREEN toothed comb. When heir to the throne Prince Charles travels to the warm subcontinent this April, rest assured his every move won’t go unnoticed.

 

 

This tour, which is supposed to make the locals aware of global warming, requires sole use of a private jet to cover the 16,400 mile journey in ten days. As such, this global warming awareness trip will produce around 322 tons of Co2 and cost an estimated £431,900. Would it be more effective if he stayed at home and spread the message from there? Or just waste the fuel and continue traveling around?

The desk is made by a company named Reestore. They produce neat pieces of furniture from reused and unexpected materials. You definitely don’t see anything more unusual and intriguing than this piece in the typical furniture market.

 

 

As with all aircrafts,  the wing is aluminium so it is light yet tough. It measures 2100 mm x 1000 mm x 900 mm. This particular piece was a custom build for entrepreneur Theo Paphitis, but Reestore are now building them to order for anyone who would like to spend $5,000 on desk.

Like this 747 at the Stockholm-Arlanda airport in Sweden. It has been turned into a hotel with a unique view of the airport.

 

 

This is great for people who are just staying overnight; it has twenty five rooms all with three bunks and with a room space of around six square metres. Even the flight deck has been converted for someone who wants a room with a view; there are even plans to turn the engines into rooms the fans will act as blinds.

Given the size of a routine jumbo jet and the never ending rising costs of property, converting an old jumbo jet into a restaurant wouldn’t be such a bad idea, would it?

That’s what the owners of this old plane had in mind when they recycled the giant bird into a one hundred and fifty table restaurant. With the potential amount of customers, there shouldn’t be a problem generating income. What use of a novel idea! After all, this is literally an idea that stands out from traditional mortar and brick bound grub hubs. Although, it has to be said, the exterior could do with a lick of paint! I propose green!

By using this system planes will save on fuel and therefore make flying better for the environment. It is a surprise that some of the larger airlines do not use something similar, but maybe now it will begin to catch on.
