Google has a store in which they carry clothing, gadgets, and accessories. It was cool to find out that they have added green products to their selection. There are more and more artists and manufacturers popping up that create fashion and accessories out of recycled leather materials, such as Be Good Designs.
I found these ultra cute eco sandals from their recycled leather collection, actually most (if not all) of their products are made using 99% recycled leather. The leather comes from seats, armchairs, and such.

For the modern Fashionista, it is apparent that unless you see the final product, you will not pay any attention to eco-friendly fashion. Consider using recycled materials such as juice packs and rice sacks and you would normally see people looking the other way around. But given the ample time to design them, you would be surprised at how finished products would grab their attention and eventually be the talk of the town.

Lovely reusable bags from Peace in a Bag. These are colorful, sturdy, and not too pricey. These bags are great for errand shopping, grocery runs, pharmacy visits (hello Walgreens and CVS), library book pick-ups, video store rentals. Wow, here’s a way to recycle newspaper into functional well-designed foldable benches.
Kaisin took regular newspapers, layered, glued and compressed them to create a building material that is as strong as wood. He then took these sheets and mimicked one of natures strongest forms, the honeycomb, to create this amazing expandable bench.

Here’s a record case fully made out of old records and record cases.
Made from one LP sleeve - front and back cover on the outside, gatefold art on the inside and vinyl record on top. Top and bottom are lined with a rich red unryu art paper. Clear plastic handle, sturdy draw bolt latch and quality hardware.

Your friend’s might get jealous of you for being so eco-friendly and carrying a stylish purse but we still do recommend this purse made out of recycled VHS tape.
Bag crocheted out of VHS tape with a fused plastic liner made from a trash bag that was originally used as a dropcloth for some of our art projects. Bag was turned inside out and fused then hand sewn into the purse to create the liner.

A British artist named Ptolemy Elrington, creates jaw dropping scultures and art from recycled items found in kitchen pantries such as utensils, juicers, mixers, and toasters.

Okay, tired of spending another $20 on a whole Brita filter? Here’s some instructions on how to refill the Brita cartridge itself instead of throwing it away.
