It has been reported in most parts of the world that pedal power is the new alternative way to get to places. However, there are some people who may not be able to appreciate the leg power that modern bikes provide but this new solar powered bike called the Cycle Sol can perhaps fix all of that.
The Cycle Sol is in the concept stage but Mr Miljevic hopes to be able to mass-produce it once he has found a manufacturer.
He said: “It is just li

One of the forgotten objects in society when you are driving would have to be the standard public traffic lights, which like most electronic devices, are run by power. While they are normally paid for by the government, they too are included in the rehabilitation efforts and finding alternative sources of power. Utilizing solar power to operate these tradtional powered traffic lights can be a really big boost.

We are all aware of the growing trash problem and apparently there should be various ways to help out your local garbage collectors. We have seen the shift towards biodegradable items but apparently this is not enough. There is a new idea introduced in the market by BigBelly Solar and it has something to do with compacting trash using solar power.
The problem here is perhaps will people buy it? It seems too futuristic and while the intent is cl

To help minimize the waste problems as far as using batteries are concerned, rechargeable batteries are being offered in the market as a great alternative. Now while that may have resolved one issue, the manner of recharging may be another issue. Energy is a growing concern and the manner of recharging or plugging them into outlets is sure to be a problem.
But for the GPS solar charger, this issue should be resolved as well.

We all hear of the advised shift towards alternative source of energy but people really fail to realize how it can be done. To most, the understanding is that they are just supporting sources to bring down utilization of energy but there are people who will go to extremes to force them to learn what it means to live on personal generated energy.
In fact, the rural life is perhaps the best place to start it all off. Many people may have a shock a

The search for alternative energy solutions continues. As the world is looking to help address the rising cost of energy, as well as analyzing the effectiveness of current energy sources, we also need to determine whether we have sufficient enough sources to satisfy the world’s need for energy. While many are turning towards the usual hydrogen, solar and wind power solutions, another energy source, nuclear power has recently been inserted into

These may like the replicators off of Stargate SG1 but we are assuming that these solar powered robots are totally friendly and apart from the occasional burst of energy when it begins to flap its wings the bug will remain where it has been placed.
They are brain child of Tiny Minds and although they are priced at $80 the value is in how different something like this is when placed on a desk or table near the window.

When is freezing cold outside and the heating is on inside, it is sometimes difficult to judge how cold it is on the other side of the door.
But with this solar powered thermometer you should never get caught out again, and this takes it power from the sun then there are no power issues either.
No details on price etc yet.

Students from MIT have invented a new power solar dish that can literally burn solid steel at its focal point.
By directing the dish at a more practical target — water piped through black tubing — steam can be flash created, offering instant means of producing energy or providing heating.

But what if the pot is shaded by trees, walls or fences, we hear you ask? No problem because its solar cell is on a separate spike connected to the pot via a 3m cable. Simply stick it in the ground and hide the cable. Genius, and no mains wiring required. W
