Kate Hudson Responds: “I am No Thief”
Yesterday I posted about the impending lawsuit that actress Kate Hudson is facing with her eco-friendly hair care line. The actress, her hair stylist David Babaii and the manufacturer Universal are being sued by 220 labs for allegedly stealing their secret eco-friendly ingredient, volcanic ash, and making their own eco-friendly hair care line.
Through her spokesperson, Hudson has denied the allegations and has stood firm on the claim that she knew nothing of their claims. In fact, she has also denied meeting anyone from 220 labs, hence confidently concluding that their charges and claims are totally useless.
Kate, Babaii and their manufacturer Universal have been charged with misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of contract, breach of confidence and fraud in the legal documents, for coming up with eco-friendly collection of shampoos and styling aids, which is said to contain a special key ingredient - volcanic ash.
However Kate’s spokesperson has squashed all such claims saying they are baseless. “Kate does not know the plaintiffs and has never met with them or spoken with them, Her representatives believe that the claims are baseless and without merit and (they) intend to vigorously defend the lawsuit,” Contactmusic quoted Kate’s spokesman, as saying.
