We all know that there are a lot of famous personalities and stars that are going out of their way to promote the eco-friendly way of living. A lot of them are no second rate stars who play supporting roles. Most of them are world-acclaimed Hollywood celebrities that include the likes of Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio. Apparently Portman has done a lot. She has not been in the spotlight for eco-friendly activities such as other stars. Her contributions include contributing towards the saving gorillas, pushing for low-energy bulb campaigns and launching a vegan shoe range.

Natalie Portman has been named the most eco-friendly star, after topping a list of celebrities who go out of their way to care for the planet.

The Hollywood beauty won a special mention by campaigners at green website Grist.org - who praised her work to save gorillas in Rwanda, her role as the face of a low-energy lightbulb company and the launch of her vegan shoe range.
