Make Your Own Tire Sandals
There’s only so many things you can do with old tires, right? There’s the tire swing, the tire jungle gym, the tire shingles….okay, there is lots! However, here is one more tire DIY you can try. This website teaches you how to make your own sandals. They are sturdier and longer lasting than you may think!

All you need is some paper and pencil (for the pattern), a utility knife, a razer blade, some nylon strapping and a tire! It’s a time consuming task, but a rewarding one!
Interested? Check out the entire process here!

Cool! Some of my favorite shoes have always been the mexican juaraches, sandals made with tire soles and woven leather on top. Now when I go south of the border, baja at least, I can’t find these shoes and no one has even heard of them. This design isn’t exactly the same, but maybe close enough for nostalgia purposes. Plus, I got a flat tire a couple of weeks ago so I think I’ve got the key ingredients covered…
