Today is America Recycles Day and this holiday has been around for 11 years. Did you know about ARD or that it has been around this long?

Ok on to the celebration. But….

How To Celebrate?

Below are 10 ideas i came up with on the fly to help you celebrate America Recycles Day. Enjoy!

1. Tell Your Friends About It – call, email, IM, text, telegram them
2. Throw an impromptu “Recycling Is Cool” party
3. Get wacky ideas at Recycling 101
4. Let your city or town know that you care about eco issues and are wanting XXX fixed, added, reduced, installed, etc
5. Ask your local retailers to carry recycled products
6. Buy clothing that is made from recycled fabrics
7. Send a letter to your fave magazine publishers and kindly request that they use recycled paper
8. Switch to e-statements for your bills, bank statements, cell phone bills, etc
9. Get informed – Find out what you can and cannot recycle locally and where
10. Have fun – Attend an event that is green and meet other cool socially responsible people
