Gordon Brown wants Britain to go Green
Gordon Brown, potential successor to Tony Blair is making plans to announce the future construction of five eco villages in Britain. The town are modeled on Prince Charles’ green development plans, are expected to have no net carbon emissions, and use local and green energy sources only, including solar power and wind power. They are also hoping to building 20,000 homes in each town as well as hospitals, schools, and other social necessities. All will come with a nice shade of green.

In a recent speech in Kent, Brown said
If we are to meet the aspirations of every young couple to do the best for themselves and their children, then we need to build new homes and we need to deliver well-planned, green and prosperous communities where they will want to live.
And I say to those who always say ‘yes, but not here’, you are denying people their rightful aspirations and you are condemning our children never to put a foot on the housing ladder.
This seems like a very ambitious project for the (potential) future British Prime Minister to take up, but I can’t help but be optimistic. If it turns out are great as Brown is claiming, I might even want to move there!
