Top 7 Tips To Green Your Christmas Holidays

Sure you have read a few of these but you haven’t read my list. Below i cover a few easy ideas to green up your upcoming Holidays.

1. Rent Your Christmas Tree
2. Support fair trade and or socially responsible gifts
3. Use reusable shopping bags when going out for in store shopping
4. Walk to the nearby mall or carpool with neighbors, make it a neighborhood event.
5. Load up on the veggies instead of meats. There are so many delicious meat-free recipes. You would be surprised and delighted to find out about the variety of tasty and nutritious veg recipes that exist especially for the holidays.
6. Set a limit on the amount per gift this year. Say $20 or $50 per gift, and no more.
7. Use as many energy efficient lights as possible for your decorating. There are numerous solar lights out now to decorate the outside of your home. Or you can try energy saving LED lights as well. Try a Google seach for “solar christmas lights” or visit Amazon.
