These are all some really great ideas. I am always interested in new ways to be green. The latest thing I have been working on is the energy bill that is being considered by Congress. If passed in its entirety it would include a 35 mpg energy standard by 2020 and a 15% renewable energy standard by 2020. These standards would help the cosumer to save money on electricity and gas as well as protect the environment, and reduce our dependence on foreign oil. Another idea is to use envirnomentally-friendly web-hosting that is provided via 100% solar/wind power. Whether the company purchases energy credits or renewable energy certificates (i.e., Dreamhost) or actually has access to a supply of solar/wind farms (i.e., AISO), there are green web hosting options available.
