A Green Fashion Show in New Delhi

Eco-Fashion New Delhi

The best way to get to know what latest fashion trends are being followed today is through fashion shows. New Delhi, a so-called “shallow” fashion conscious environment, has adapted towards the need to go green and apparently a lot of this shall be showcased during the India Fashion Week with a variety of eco-friendly collections.

“We have always innovated fibres which are in harmony with nature. Designers using heavy metal free fibres for their collections would promote eco-fashion,” said Vijay Kaul, chief marketing officer, Fibre Business, Aditya Birla Group.

“It would encourage more designers to embrace green fashion across the country and help conserve the environment,” Kaul said. Their fibre is biodegradable.

Though eco-fashion will burn a deeper hole in the pockets of customers, style gurus say the fibre will be a huge hit.

Being green is already becoming one of the hottest trends in 2008. You know it’s big when there is a fashion show about it, and eco-fashion is becoming one of the biggest things next to bioheat in the green community. Designers are even putting out merchandise that has been made with 100% organic cottons, certain dyes, and even accessories made of things like bamboo. I would know since fashion is my LIFE!

I may live and breathe fashion, but bioheat is one of the best changes I have made ever since I have decided to go green. It’s fabulous too because it consist of non-toxic oils and biodegradable every0day products like avocado and soybean oils. Sounds like something that create a killer facial mask I know, but it definitely does its job in the home too. In the winter, it is my best friend and my favorite thing next to my ugg boots. It’s fabulous and it’s kind to the heating system too! I’m anemic so blasting the heater and drinking hot chocolate is one of my favorite things to do during the cold season. At least I am able to help mother earth in the process.

If it wasn’t for me working with NORA I would have probably never even thought about crossing to the green side. After I realized how important it is that we take care of our environment I started to become more involved. I got really great tips from: http://oilheatamerica.com/index.mv?screen=bioheat.

Check it out and see what kinds of things you can do to make going green easy and fun for you!
