Animal Friendly Shoe Brand OlsenHaus Gets Even Greener
A popular animal friendly shoe designer is taking trash and sweet vegan fashion to new heights.
The established vegan shoe brand OlsenHaus is branching out into uncharted territory with a new line of shoes made out of recycled television sets. The head designer Elizabeth Olsen is embracing the new GREEN era with full vigor.
That’s why vegan footwear designer Olsenhaus is making a switch of its own—by cladding its entire Fall/Winter 2010 collection of pumps, wedges, stiletto booties, and knee-highs in an innovative polyester microfiber made from trashed television screens.
Vegan shoes by definition are animal-friendly as no leather is used, yet they can go a step further and introduce materials which are earth-friendly as well. That’s exactly what many new vegan shoes designers are now looking into, starting with OlsenHaus.
