Bentley to make more eco friendly cars

It’s hard to imagine an eco friendly Bentley, but this is what the exclusive car company is saying. They plan to make their cars to fall within the new European Union rules on manufacturing.

The Bentley Coupe Continental GT use about 17 litres of fuel per 100 kilometres, and some 396 grams of carbon dioxide per kilometre. But the car company are planning to cut this down to 120 by the year 2012.

Yet although the company’s products cost around $250,000 they have seen a rise of almost 18 per cent during the first six months of the year.
