Here is another biodegradable masterpiece for you. The said piece comes in the form of a lamp, something made entirely of fibers and mushroom mycelium.
The lamps are actually grown for a certain period of two weeks where fungi eats a substrate of plant fibers and eventually produce a kind of flexible and soft living textile.
About 500 to 600 grams of Oyster mushroom are generated by each lamp, which eventually forms into a dry and lightweight lampshade which is compostable and sustainable as well. In all, the said lamp thus becomes a nutritious source of food as well.
