Ireland Launches Iameco Eco-friendly Computer

by Brian Yalung on Friday, November 21st, 2008

If you are in the market for a new computer, check out this new computer solution unveiled by MicroPro Computers LTD. It is claimed to be eco-friendly mainly because it makes use of biodegradable wood panels and also uses 1/3 energy from the common desktops today.

We have seen a lot of companies offering the same thing, wooden casings and energy efficient computers. But combining both in one computer package seems to be enticing enough to consider. Also, when they are nearing disposal, you can categorize them as seeds as they breed new plants when buried in landfill after using up its product life.

“One advantage of iameco is that when the components are buried in landfill the wood gets wet, breaks down and new plants begin to grow from old computers.”
