BioPac Good Bag

by Brian Yalung on Saturday, November 29th, 2008

Here is something that can be of use for some shoppers. For months now (or is it years?), people are being discouraged to use plastic bags and resort to eco-friendly bags made from recycled or organic materials to aid shoppers in their needs. We have seen a lot of them offered for sale and for free and this bag from BioPac is surely something many would want to check out.

It is made from 100 per cent waste potato starch, the new Biopac Good Bag rots down completely and safely turns into healthy compost in just 12 weeks if put on a compost heap.

The Good Bag was a key player in the success of the recent Gloucester Road Alternative Bag Campaign initiative in Bristol. More than 50 businesses signed up to a pledge where pioneering local residents and traders hope to phase out regular plastic bags in favour of alternatives that can be reused and composted.

  • It could take government intervention before people become interested in using products of this type as a choice. This product is created from 100% of an item that has negligible harmful effects, and it can be sent right back into nature through composting, but it joins a group of items of this type that need an underlying advantageous reason to be used.
  • if we decide all of us to use reusable eco friendly bags for shopping we will prevent our planet from a huge amount of polution. good post.
