Did you ever wanted to build a GIANT paper boat and go out on the Ocean for 40 days until it disintegrates? Yep, I thought so. Here’s an artist/designer who built himself a childhood dream(and hopefully he makes it back in one piece without the Sharkies eating him…). We sincerely wish best of luck in pioneering of GIANT Paper Boats. (If this works, we will have people building their own disposable boats instead of buying a $20 million boat made with steel and other precious earth’s resources.)

The 37-year-old artist came up with the idea one breakfast time, while he was sitting at his kitchen table fiddling with an empty milk carton, which he cut up and made into a scaled-down model. The �110 boat is 30 feet long, weighs 55 pounds, uses a 170-square-metre piece of Tetrapack paper, and took only two hours to construct

    That would be totally hawt, except it disintegrates in 40 days or so. What's it take to make one that's more chemically stable?

    My bet is on that mylar stuff in potato chip bags. That stuff is awesome.
